Production Manager (m/f)

You will steer a production sector operating 24/7, comprising different manufacturing and packing units and delivering several thousand tons per year. You will manage production resources, ensure safe operations and compliance to all relevant EHS / process safety and quality standards and will manage the human, technical and budgetary aspects of the operations. You will take responsibility for production schedule adherence, maintain contact with clients and guarantee total customer satisfaction. In increasing the flexibility and efficiency of production methods, you will anticipate future investments and ensure KPIs follow up. Working together with all the site’s departments, you will provide real leadership and maintain employee commitment to production objectives. You will report to the Head of Production and be in close contact with the Executive Committee. You will have the chance to work within a company that is focused on people, innovation and excellence.

We are seeking a chemist or chemical engineer with a master’s degree and ideally an MBA. You have already managed a chemical production entity of this size for at least five years, with experience in lean manufacturing and agile methods, and you are a manager who knows how to support team members in the development of their career. As a very good communicator and coach, you know how to gain the support of your employees and anticipate the problems. You are naturally innovative, a facilitator that fosters and drives continuous improvement towards excellence. You are resistant to pressure and know how to make the right decisions and think logically, even in emergency situations. You are at ease at all levels of discussion and can address facts in an objective and concrete manner. You are fluent in written and spoken English and French. German and other languages would be a valued asset.
