Area Sales & Marketing Manager

To be in charge of a sales territory and key customer accounts. 
The successful candidate will be responsible for growth and achieving sales targets, with a medium terms goal of successfully managing the sales team. 
 
Mission :
  • Develop annual sales and marketing plan in support of company strategy and objectives
  • Responsible for sales targets for a geographical territory
  • Develop strategic relationships at key customer accounts
  • Perform reporting of sales and marketing activities
  • Assist in the writing of marketing material and product collateral
  • Responsible for fairs and customer trade shows to represent company and generate new sales
  • In charge of developing competitive and benchmarking analysis
 
Remark: in the medium term, this position is expecting to evolve from Areas Sales & Marketing Manager to Sales and Marketing Director.  As Director, the person will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team with direct report to the CEO.  This will also include among other things, the establishment of sales budget, management of the sales distribution network, development of strategic partnerships, run employees annual interviews, etc …
 
This position will require frequent international travels to customer production plants, shows and exhibitions, and worldwide offices. Your profile:
 
You are an electrical engineer with ideally an MBA and proven successful experience in international sales. You speak fluently in English and if possible in French and German
 
Your experiences:
  • 5+ years of international sales of technological products and/or solutions
  • Sound knowledge of the test and instrumentation industry
  • Knowledge of the cable industry is a plus
  • A demonstrated track record of growing sales and profits, in a technical field
  • Initial experience in team management
  • Familiar with budget setting and financial analysis
