Software Architect and Design

Our client is an international company active in one of the fastest growing industries - the automation industry. Its main activities are to design, manufacture and market products and services with strong brand names, proprietary technologies and major market positions. Its speciality is the electronic motion control which brings quantum leaps in precision to applications like robots, wheelchairs, lift trucks and packaging machines. To strengthen its team located in the Lausanne area, we are actually looking for a Senior GUI/HMI Sotware Engineer (Senior Windows Interface Software Engineer).

Senior Windows Interface Software Engineer


The senior GUI/ HMI software engineer will lead design, development and maintenance of a complex IDE (Integrated
Development Environment) software windows based for automation/ motion systems. The tasks include functional spec
and ergomomic design, software design and architecture, impementation, code review, integration of 3rd party software
components, product integration and testing as well as code stabilization. The candidate will also be in charge to help/
coach the rest of the team on the technical aspects. Acting very closely with the current Team Leader and the Project
Manager, he will take part to the successfull team building of the team.

The chosen candidate has a HES or EPF computer or software engineering degree. He has gained at least 3-5 years
experience in a similar role with responsabilities in term of SW and development. As he will design and develop software
components and needed features in the product, he must have an excellent level in C++ and C#. Analytical and result
oriented, he must have a strong experience in complex windows applications including SW and development. Proficient in
multithreading environment and synchronization issues, he has a good knowledge of communication tools (such as TCP/
IP). Experienced with the object and component oriented SW design techniques (UML/ Design Patterns), he is able to
get quickly an overview of the entire project & feels confortable with the ergonomic dimension for end user application.
A knowledge of middleware technologies such as COM, ORB, as well as the Scrum and Agile methodology is a plus.
